Too many creative ideas stall because the right people never find one another. At Step One is a new collaboration platform where creatives can turn ideas into structured projects, find people with complementary skills, collaborate, and build portfolios through real contributions. The foundation is live; now we need to build the active community and repeatable systems that will help it grow. We’re assembling a small remote team to welcome early members, seed meaningful projects, create useful content, form partnerships, test the experience, and help prioritize future improvements. We’ll manage this initiative inside At Step One, allowing the team to shape the platform through real use. We’re looking for dependable, constructive collaborators who care about creative work and want clear credit for helping build an emerging platform. The first phase will run for 12 weeks with flexible weekly participation and the possibility of continuing.

Compensation has not yet been finalized and should be discussed before a collaborator commits.

Goals
The goal of this phase is to learn what turns a new visitor into an active collaborator and build a repeatable growth system around it. The team will improve onboarding, attract creators from a broad range of disciplines, help launch quality projects, establish a consistent content and outreach rhythm, develop early partnerships, collect structured user feedback, and identify the product improvements with the greatest impact. Progress will be measured by meaningful activity—including completed profiles, posted projects and roles, applications, conversations, repeat visits, and collaborations started—rather than sign-up totals alone. At the end of the phase, we will document what worked, what did not, and the next priorities for growing At Step One.

Founding Creator Ambassador
Use At Step One as an active creator and help establish the culture of its early community. Ambassadors will complete strong profiles, share portfolio work, create or join a genuine project, invite a small number of well-matched creators, participate in feedback sessions, and share the platform authentically when relevant. This is not a spam or follower-count role. We’re looking for welcoming, constructive creators across many disciplines who enjoy helping others and will be honest about what works and what needs improvement. Multiple openings are available.
Community Growth & Member Success Lead
Help turn early sign-ups into active, supported members. You’ll coordinate the 12-week growth effort with the founder, improve onboarding, welcome new creators, spark useful conversations, facilitate connections, watch where members disengage, and turn recurring feedback into practical next steps. The right person is organized, empathetic, proactive, and comfortable working with creatives from many disciplines. Experience with online communities, membership programs, creator platforms, moderation, or project coordination is helpful. The estimated commitment is 4–6 flexible hours per week for 12 weeks. Success will be measured by completed profiles, meaningful participation, repeat activity, and collaborations started.
Feedback & Community Testing Lead
Help us understand how real creators experience At Step One by testing the platform as a regular member and communicating directly with its users. You’ll use your own standard account to explore onboarding, profiles, project creation, role applications, messaging, workspaces, and the desktop and mobile experiences. You’ll identify bugs, confusing steps, accessibility concerns, and unmet needs, then document your findings clearly. You’ll also reach out to members through the platform, invite honest feedback, conduct brief user check-ins, and organize recurring themes into useful reports and recommendations. This role does not include access to admin controls, private account information, or backend systems. The right person is curious, approachable, respectful of member privacy, neutral when collecting feedback, and dependable with follow-up. Experience in community engagement, user testing, surveys, interviews, QA, or feedback collection is helpful.
Social Content & Growth Producer
Help show people what At Step One makes possible. You’ll plan and produce short videos, carousels, creator and project spotlights, tutorials, feature demonstrations, and founder updates for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. You’ll work within the established At Step One brand, turn strong ideas into multiple content formats, maintain a realistic publishing schedule, and evaluate which content drives quality visits and active members. The right person understands concise storytelling, creator culture, and social-first editing. Experience with Canva, Adobe tools, CapCut, social copywriting, or analytics is helpful.
