Community Guidelines

At Step One welcomes different perspectives, creative disagreements, and constructive criticism. We believe that respectful debate and honest feedback make creative work stronger. You are encouraged to:

• •Share honest feedback on ideas, designs, writing, code, and creative work — even when it's critical of the work itself.
• •Disagree respectfully — creative differences often lead to better outcomes when discussed openly and professionally.
• •Critique ideas and creative work constructively, focusing on the work itself rather than the person who created it.
• •Offer suggestions that help the project move forward, not just point out problems.

The following behaviors are prohibited and may result in content removal or account action:

• •Harassment — targeted attacks, sustained intimidation, or repeated unwanted contact toward another user.
• •Threats — any statement that threatens violence, harm, or damage to a person or their property.
• •Discriminatory abuse — slurs, hate speech, or attacks based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
• •Sexual harassment — unwanted sexual advances, sexualized comments, or inappropriate sexual content.
• •Scams and spam — deceptive offers, fraudulent activity, unsolicited advertising, or repeated promotional messaging.
• •Intimidation — pressuring, coercing, or bullying another user into decisions or actions.
• •Repeated unwanted contact — continuing to message or engage with someone after they have made it clear they do not want to be contacted.

If you encounter content that violates these guidelines, you can report it using the flag icon on messages, posts, task comments, and creator profiles. Every report is reviewed by our moderation team and kept confidential. We do not retaliate against users who report in good faith.

Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, we may remove content, issue warnings, restrict account features, or suspend accounts. Our goal is always to protect the community while giving people the opportunity to learn and improve.
